The Irony of The Holocaust : Why Ideas Matter

"So the thing that bothered me most was that the condemned man had to hope the machine would work the first time." -The Stranger by Albert Camus

The Holocaust was a state sponsored genocide of more than 6,000,000 Jews as well as members of other marginalized groups.

For me, there is an extreme irony in The Holocaust. The only love that matters is the love you have for your neighbor.

"...but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I [am] the LORD." Leviticus 19:18

The irony is that this one little verse, this tiny seed of an idea had the power to stop The Holocaust. This attempt to exterminate the Jews would not have happened had this idea been able to take root in more minds.

Ideas matter. What you think matters.
